Tea Inspires...

"Surely everyone is aware of the divine pleasures which attend a wintry fireside: candles at four o'clock, warm hearth rugs, tea, a fair tea-maker, shutters closed, curtains flowing in ample draperies to the floor, whilst the wind and rain are raging audibly without."

Thomas De Quincey

Rooibos

— a herbal plant that grows in South Africa is a flavory caffeine-free alternative for those who wish to decrease caffeine intake. Having been used by natives since ancient times the plant was rediscovered in 1772 by Swedish botanist Carl Thunberg. However, only in 1904 the drink became popular when a Russian immigrant Benjamin Ginsburg presented it to the public. Rooibos is laden with antioxidants, vitamin C, iron and many more minerals. It contains no preservatives and additives. It is literally your daily cup of health!

Preparation and serving:

Place one rounded teaspoon of tea in a cup and pour boiling water over it. Infuse at least five minutes. Add a splash of milk and honey to make it a tea for a dessert. Caffeine free.
